      This vessel and her three sisters: Siroco, Cierzo and Monzon were built on 1979 by Astilleros y Construcciones at Meira (Vigo). Her first owner was Naviera Transoceánica, but they were bought after few months by Trasmediterránea, en la cual conservaron sus nombres.
